This place is a little expensive for what it is. Decent enough food but not as authentic as I was expecting. Many of the dishes are deep fried.

This place is worth the drive if you're not from the Port Coquitlam area. They for sure have the highest quality, traditional, authentic sushi without breaking the bank. With happy hour Tuesday to Thursday, 5pm to 6:30pm (dine in only) and rotating specials for the adventurous types, you definitely need to check this place out.You must be patient though! This is a family owned business and there is only one waitress for the whole place! It's so worth it though!
I've been coming here for over a decade. it is by far my favourite sushi spot in the world. I've tried sushi all over the Lower mainland, in the US, in Mexico, various places in Europe, and none have even come close to how amazing Shyun is. Love the owners, love the food, all around the best sushi experience you'll ever have. If you don't believe me then try it for yourself
This place has such high rating, but the food and the services were not good at all, needless to say it was pricy. It was very disappointed. I will never go back.
